IL District School of Ministry

To enroll in the Illinois District Studies Program the items listed below must be sent to the IL District Ministerial Studies Board Secretary.

1) Application for Admission (online form).

2) Registration of Your Call to Ministry (online form).

3) Submit to a Background Check (online form). – This background check is in addition to the background check completed by the local church, and would be on file with the Illinois District for all licensed ministers pursuing ordination on this district. This is a basic background check, and does not include a credit check. When an applicant has filled out this online form, please contact the Studies Board Secretary. The District will then know to order the background check.

4) Apply with your church for a local minister’s license and send a copy of the license certificate to the Ministerial Studies Board Secretary. To receive a local minister’s license and certificate your pastor must follow the instructions.  Your pastor must fill out the “Request for Verification of Credential History” online form and request a local license certificate by filling out this online form. (Please note: For the “Request for Verification of Credential History” form, please use dist.sec@illinoisnaz.org as the District Contact Email Address.)

The following can be submitted online with the Application for Admission (step 1 above) or via email or postal service to the Ministerial Studies Board Secretary:

5) A letter of your testimony and call to ministry.

6) A letter from your pastor recommending you to the program.

7) An official transcript of College/University classes that you have taken (This must be mailed via postal service).
