CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES:
NBC Institute for Ministry Enrichment: NBC offers 4 week online classes for continuing education. Each class requires approximately 5 hours of reading and assignments per week. Completion of 1 class is the equivalent of 20 lifelong learning hours. NBC offers all Nazarene Pastors a $100 scholarship per class, making the final cost for each class $60 plus the cost of a textbook.
NNU Continuing Education Classes: NNU offers 1 week online classes for continuing education. Each class is the equivalent of 10 lifelong learning hours and costs $29. No textbook is required for these classes.
Illinois School of Ministry: District pastors are welcome to audit a ministry class taught on our district. Each class is the equivalent of 10 lifelong learning hours and is free for ordained pastors on the Illinois District.
ONLINE VIDEOS, WEBINARS, AND EVENTS:
Praxis (formerly NTS Center for Pastoral Leadership): NTS offers online video content from a wide range of Nazarene events and conferences. Many videos are free. Some content requires a Praxis monthly or yearly subscription.
SNU Toler Resource Center for Pastoral Leadership: SNU offers online video content from events and conferences. All videos are free to access. Some videos are not accessible from the main page and are only available here.
PLNU H. Orton Wiley Lecture Series: Point Loma hosts a yearly conference. Speakers cover a wide range of topics, all relevant to Christian life and ministry from a Wesleyan perspective. Previous lectures can be accessed for free from this link.
Wynkoop Center for Women in Leadership: NTS offers online video content for the Wynkoop Center for Women in Leadership. The center “exists to create space to imagine together the possibilities of women’s contributions, along with creative and innovative participation in the future of the church of Jesus Christ.” All videos found on this link are free to view. Report as lifelong learning hours the actual time you spent as an active participant in viewing online content.
CONFERENCES:
Report the number of hours spent in workshops, plenary sessions, and conference related worship services. Time spent in breaks, free time, etc. should not be reported as lifelong learning hours.
