We attended the Good Samaritan Ministries fund raising banquet. This ministry was started by the Collinsville Good Samaritan Church of the Nazarene (now the Collinsville New Community Church of the Nazarene) over 20 years ago. The church had a mission to bless their community by taking box fans to homes in the Washington Park community to homes that had no air conditioning. Now 20 years later it has become a non-denominational ministry to the homeless, the hungry, and children of the community.
It’s incredible to see how a simple act of kindness can evolve into such a transformative ministry over the years. The impact on the community must be profound. As you prepare to bless your community, the possibilities for positive change are endless.
