This afternoon we participated in the closing service of Mount Vernon Faith Church of the Nazarene. The church was organized in 1922 and served the city of Mount Vernon for 102 years. Sharing memories and having opportunity to hear of their love for God and for one another reminded me of why the people of God gather together each week to glorify our Creator and discover how to reflect the image of Christ.
