Sunday afternoon put us in Monticello to meet with the Church Board. Pastor Rita Briggs has announced her retirement from Monticello and Decatur Oak Grove. Pastor Rita has been such a willing servant to serve both congregations each week. We pray for God’s touc on Pastor Rita as she enters into a new chapter.
The Church Board accepted my appointment of Rev. Deb Braunig to begin serving as the transitional pastor. Pastor Deb will be working with the congregation over the next few months to try to discover new ways and new methods of reaching the community and the county.
