Esta mañana viajamos a Arcola para unirnos a la Iglesia del Nazareno para celebrar su 40 aniversario. El pastor Waldemar y Demarius Pérez continúan sirviendo en su vigésimo quinto año de pastoreo en Arcola. El Dr. Jerry Porter, Superintendente General Emérito, habló y desafió a la congregación a alcanzar uno este año. Las mujeres de la iglesia tenían un canto especial y los hombres de la iglesia cantaban un canto especial. La junta de la iglesia presentó al Hno. Enrique y Caitlyn Trevino, una placa en agradecimiento a ellos por su fiel servicio estos 40 años. son los únicos miembros fundadores que quedan de la iglesia. También fue un privilegio conocer a las dos hijas y sus esposos de los pastores fundadores, el Hno. Roy Cranmer. Fue un placer ser parte de esta celebración.
This morning we traveled to Arcola to join the Iglesia del Nazareno to celebrate their 40th anniversary. Pastor Waldemar and Demarius Perez continue to serve in their 25th year of pastoring Arcola. Dr. Jerry Porter, General Superintendent Emeritus, spoke and challenged the congregation to reach one this year. The women of the church sang a special song as well as the men of the church song one. The church board presented Bro. Enrique and Caitlyn Trevino a plaque expressing appreciation to the them for their faithful service these 40 years. They are the only remaining charter members of the church. Also it was a privilege to meet the two daughters and their husbands of the founding pastor, Bro. Roy Cranmer. It was a joy to be a part of this celebration.
