Spring has sprung! With spring we find storms. The weatherman says be prepared. In Oklahoma, a severe storm can monopolizes your mine, your time and even your TV. Oklahoma weathermen are consumed with spring storms. When the experts determine that everything is just right for a spring tornado, it is all you hear to the point that you are consumed and might miss the opportunities of the day. This caused me to think about the Second Coming of Christ. Some folks become so consumed with the second coming that I fear they might miss the opportunities that Jesus has for them. Now don’t think that I am discrediting Christ’s return. His return will happen and our task is to be obedient to all that God asks of us. But He also says that I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. I challenge each of us to live every day with the promise and hope that He will return and while we are waiting and getting prepared, live out our faith abundantly on the journey of grace.
