The challenge I presented to the Assembly was that we must be AUTHENTIC followers of Jesus Christ. John 13:34-35 states, “A new command I give to you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Mark 11 indicates that an AUTHENTIC tree will be bear-ing fruit. Just like the fig tree must bear fruit, we too, must be fruit bearing to reveal our authenticity. To help us bear fruit: speak WORDS that build up, be OBEDIENT to all of God’s directives, implement spiritual DISCI-PLINES. This W.O.D. (Work Out of the Day) will help us produce spiritual fruit that will help those in ‘our world’ to know and desire to find out more about God’s love.
I am overwhelmed and humbled by the incredible vote of affirmation. Becky and I are very excited about the opportunity to continue to serve alongside you for an-other four years.
