While visiting Korean Hope Church re-cently, we heard two messages from two different pastors that really spoke to me. The first is how vital inhaling and exhaling are to breathing. You cannot have life without both. Reading God’s Word is that breath. We must inhale it, consume it, study it and then breathe it out—live it, share it. The second message we heard shared how Korean bankers are to study Korean money, not just look at it, but really study it. They are to study it so much so they can easily recognize any counterfeit money that comes across their path. The same for us in regards to the Truth. We must study it, know it, consume it, meditate on it, so we will not be taken in by any false teachings.
Let us ask ourselves “How well do I know God’s Word? How much time am I devoting to studying it, knowing it, meditating on it, so as not to be taken in by false teaching. May it be the “breath I breathe”.
