Recently, our daughter took advantage of Fall Break and traveled to Pa & Bebe’s house for a couple of days. It was a 539 mile trip, which ended up taking 10 hours because of severe thunderstorms the first half of trip. As she left Oklahoma she turned on her phone tracking and sent me the link. I was able to check on her pro-gress along the way and it was some sense of comfort to be able to watch her progress. It was not that we were checking up on her because we did not trust her but it was just a way to keep in touch and know that she was alright. We love our daughter and she was traveling with four of our grandchildren and we wanted to make sure they were safe along the way.

In recent months, I have been intrigued by the idea of accountability and it’s importance in our journey of faith. It seems like all too often we see accountability as a ‘big brother’ spying on us because they do not trust us in-stead of the desire to keep track of one another because of our love for one another. When we really love and care about someone, we want to know that they are al-right and making progress in their journey.

Do you allow anyone to hold you accountable? If not, you should. Find someone who will take an interest in your journey because you know that they care about you and they want what is best for you. Give them permis-sion to ask you the difficult questions about your faith, your Christian walk!

Be willing to follow someone else, showing them your love and devotion by holding them accountable as well.

We are on this journey, TOGETHER! We really do need each other.

May your day, week and month see God’s goodness and grace.
