It has begun. Do you see those hints of fall? Neighbors closing their pools, a tease of cooler temperatures, a band of yellow in the grove of trees, mums blooming here and there, pumpkins showing up in stores and on doorsteps, the fields in their dusty tan colors with ripened beans and corn ready for harvest and the smell of fires as people gather around their fire pits. I look forward to the many beautiful colors we are about to see as those trees continue to change and the land prepares for a time of rest.
I see God’s creative hand at work, his provision, his power, and I am thankful. When you think this God is our God! Your God! My God! It is personal. He made each of us—each of us! Why? He loves us! He desires a personal relationship with each of us.
May we see the world and each other through His eyes. May we draw closer to him, seek Him with our whole heart!
I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:1-2.
