Powell serves as the District Superintendent of the Kentucky District. He is passionate about training pastors and leaders for service in the church and believes that God’s call on his life is to cultivate and sustain a culture of renewal\, discipleship\, and mission as it relates to the church. \nThe Chosen Ones feature three generations of smooth family harmony\, blending traditional and progressive Southern Gospel with light Contemporary Christian music. Their unique approach to Gospel Music appeals to a diverse audience. \nLay retreat is for all adults\, singles as well as couples\, that are 18 years of age and out of high school. No children/teens are allowed EXCEPT babies who are nursing. This weekend is a time set aside for all lay-people and pastors to relax\, have fun\, meet new people\, enjoy services with special music and grow closer to God. \nRooms include bedding\, bathroom\, and shower. Towels will not be provided. The “Early Bird” cost for each adult is $110 and their registrations should be postmarked by September 1st. This includes lodging and meals. Camper trailers & RV’s are also welcome at this price.
